Metalkart – Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Return Eligibility

Customers may request a return within 7 days of delivery only for eligible products and in accordance with this policy. Items must be unused, uninstalled, in original packaging with all accessories, tags and proof of purchase.

2. Damaged / Incorrect Products

If a product is damaged, defective, incomplete or incorrect, notify us within 24 hours of delivery with an unboxing video and photographs. After verification, we may offer a replacement, an exchange, or another suitable resolution.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following are non-returnable except where damaged in transit or supplied incorrectly:
• Handmade, made-to-order or customised products
• Canvas paintings
• Glass items, mirrors and fragile décor (except verified transit damage)
• Sale items, gift cards and other products specifically marked non-returnable.

4. Change of Mind Returns

If you change your mind, ordered by mistake, no longer need the product, or dislike it despite receiving exactly what was ordered, any return request is subject to management approval.
If approved, deductions may include:
• Forward shipping
• Return shipping
• Packaging and handling charges
• Payment gateway charges
• Restocking fee up to 20% of the order value (or actual logistics cost, whichever is higher)
Approved refunds may be issued as Store Credit/Gift Card unless management approves another method.

5. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled only within 24 hours of placement, provided manufacturing, customisation, quality inspection, packaging or dispatch preparation has not commenced.
Once any of these processes begin, cancellation requests cannot be accepted.

6. Refusal to Accept Delivery

Refusing delivery without a valid defect or shipping error is treated as a change-of-mind return. Any eligible refund will be processed only after the product is received and inspected, after deducting all applicable costs including forward freight, reverse freight, packaging, payment gateway charges and any applicable restocking charges.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers should review product dimensions, colour, material, specifications and photographs before ordering. Handmade products may have minor variations in finish and colour.

8. Inspection

All returned products undergo inspection. If no manufacturing defect or transit damage is found, the return will be processed as a change-of-mind return under this policy.

9. Oversized & Fragile Products

Heavy, oversized, handmade and fragile products involve significantly higher logistics and packaging costs. Higher deductions may therefore apply where permitted by law.

10. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed after inspection. Processing time is generally 5–7 working days after approval. Where this policy specifies Store Credit/Gift Card, the balance amount after applicable deductions will be issued accordingly.

11. Abuse Prevention

Metalkart reserves the right to decline future orders, restrict payment methods or refuse abusive or fraudulent return requests where repeated misuse of the cancellation or return process is identified, subject to applicable law.
